Magic Garden Ponderosa

About Magic Garden Ponderosa

Ponderosa has a special place in our story. It is the original home of Magic Garden, established here on Ponderosa Drive in 1998.

Now, more than twenty-five years later, Ponderosa has returned to the Magic Garden family, and we can bring our philosophy and approach back to the place where it all began.

At Magic Garden Ponderosa, we offer something a little different from our other centres: a smaller, more intimate early learning environment, licensed for forty children including up to ten under two, where children, families and teachers form close relationships.

We are refreshing the centre to reflect the Magic Garden philosophy and approach once again, while keeping the character and community of a smaller neighbourhood centre.

Reggio Emilia inspires our approach, along with our belief that children learn through strong relationships, exploration, creativity and meaningful engagement with the world around them. We see the environment as an important teacher, and we create opportunities for children to investigate their ideas, develop independence and build confidence in who they are.

Relationships sit at the heart of this. Our key teacher approach means every child and family has teachers who know them well, and regular, personal communication connects a child's experiences at home with their days at Magic Garden.
