The short version
This website sets no tracking or advertising cookies. It counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which records no one’s identity (see Visitor numbers below). It does not follow you around the internet and it does not sell or share anything about you. The one thing it collects about you personally is what you type into the Book a tour form, and that becomes an email to the person at Magic Garden who arranges tours.
The Book a tour form
When you send a tour request we receive your name, your email address, your mobile number if you gave one, how you would like us to contact you, the centre you chose, the days and times that suit you, your child’s age, how you found us if you said, anything else you wrote, and the page you sent it from. We use it to arrange your visit and to answer you, and for nothing else. The website keeps no copy. FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), a service that turns a website form into an email, delivers it to us and keeps its own copy for thirty days, as its privacy policy describes. We keep the email for as long as we need it to arrange your visit. If you would like it deleted afterwards, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
Before the form sends, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person is filling it in. It runs in the background, and now and then it asks you to tick a box. Cloudflare sees a small amount of technical information about your browser while it checks; we see none of it. Cloudflare's privacy policy describes Turnstile.
The enrolment enquiry form
The Start your enquiry buttons open a form in Infocare, the enrolment system Magic Garden uses to run the centres. The details you enter there are held in that system as part of your enquiry and, if you enrol, your child's enrolment record. That is the same system the centres have used for years, and the office can tell you exactly what it holds about your family.
Hosting
The website is served by Cloudflare. Like every web host, Cloudflare handles the technical details of each request, such as your IP address and the pages you load, in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use that information to identify visitors. Cloudflare's own handling of it is described in its privacy policy.
Visitor numbers
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and to see how fast the pages load. For each page you open, it records which page it was, the site that sent you there, your browser and type of device, your country, and how long the page took to load. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not use your IP address or anything else to recognise you from one visit to the next. We see a count for each page and nothing about who you are. Cloudflare describes the service in its privacy policy.

Links to other sites
The fees page links to the Ministry of Education, Work and Income and Inland Revenue. Those sites have their own privacy statements, and once you leave ours, theirs apply.
Families enrolled with us
This page covers the website. The centres hold enrolment records, records of your child's learning, health and medication details, and photographs, and handle them under the centre's own policies. A full set is in the foyer at every centre, and the office will send you the one you want on request.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email [email protected] or ring 09 479 1240. If you are not happy with how we respond, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
